Could use the user manual

I like this lens but I wish the user manual was better. It took us some time to figure out how to expand it. I would also have liked an autofocus. Still, it's a great product and I'm very happy with it.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Protection

Good service for DSLR lenses

Lens delivered quickly and as advertised. After a few days of use, the lens became too big for me to keep in a crowd. Images from the lens were sharp, but the Nikon back wasn't up to the automation.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Vivatar 650-13000 f8-16

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Don't expect them to be preformed like Nikkor or Cannon lenses. Although you can get good results with it. A SOLID tripod is required. The tripod mount on the lens is defective. If you look at it up close you will see that only one of the rings is stretched around the lens. The second ring just sits there. To solve this problem, buy a tripod lens mount. Another problem is the focus. Focus is very secure. It's like 1/4 turn from min to max. But for…

I was hesitant to buy this lens but I needed something to be able to take good quality photos while we were cruising in Alaska. I've looked everywhere and this was one of the best options I've had for my Nikon D200, most of them only fit 300mm. Yes, it's entirely manual, yes, it's under $200 (at the time of writing this article), and it's a really good buy. It's DEFINITELY too big for everyday use, but for certain purposes it's just great. I love it and don't regret my decision one bit. No, it…

Focus? Do not touch him!

Lens purchased for: Nikon Z7, this lens plus x2 magnifier filled the Z7's frame with a full moon. Yes 2600mm. I used a tripod for the lens and a second tripod for camera stability. It worked as intended, I had a few seconds to take each photo before the full moon disappeared from the Z7's frame. Difficult. Yes, every time I filled the Z7 frame, except I **WANTED** to control everything manually. Everything as advertised. The biggest problem is concentration. Simply touching the ring (not to…
