Nice solid stand I installed with a second monitor on the back of my desk. It's set up so that when open, the bottom of the monitor is just above the top of my laptop's screen. This allows me to extend my laptop's display to the monitor above it. As a result, the clamp with the lever sits very firmly on the table and the vertical stand does not wobble at all. This is my second stand from VIVO and I am very happy with it. Sturdy, mostly assembled and easy to install with multiple mounting options. I chose the clamp method and it works great. I have a new thin 32 inch monitor from LG, very light. This mount handles the load with no problem. The only issue I have is the standard VESA mount (75mm x 75mm). The mount from the stand to the monitor mounting plate has limited flexibility. This means that if you want to place the monitor close to the stand again, you can only move closer to the stand that is in the middle of the monitor (see pictures).
