I used this with a Dell S2316M. I have it standing upright next to a VESA mount monitor and can't tell the difference in strength between the two. It's quite heavy for its size, making it quite durable. Installation was really intuitive but Youtube has guides if you need help. I understand the back of the monitor is slightly curved and was never designed with VESA in mind hence this adapter. So I can accept that the performance can be a bit questionable. The problem is that when I tilt the monitor up or down you can feel a strong flex in the mount. You have to push the monitor further than you want (because the arm will flex) and then release it to allow the arm to stop and your monitor may or may not be where you want it to be. Overall this is a great product and I would buy it again if someone gave me larger monitors that require adapters. Otherwise, it is better to buy monitors that do not require adapters. While I wish these mounts were made out of a thicker material that doesn't flex as much when adjusting the angle of the monitor, it will never be as good as if Monitors would have VESA mounts. That being said, these mounts work well for my Dell SE2717HR monitors. For a secondary display adapter not intended for use as a mount I think it does a great job. I used to make my SE2417G a secondary monitor in "portrait" mode on my main computer and it worked great. It took a lot more effort to fit into the monitor than I expected, but I'm not worried about it slipping out.
