When calibrating. Evidence is everywhere.

Did this a long time ago. It would be better if the PH meter only showed a column of tens and didn't further break it down to hundredths. My personal preference what is the difference between 1.6 and 164? During calibration, the readings changed from 160 to 190, then 160 to 190, like a clock being reset. I probably wrote a book on calibration and have large bottles, not bags, to sample from. No "calibration" will reassure the reader. I left it in the tank to let it settle to the ambient water…

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Will be added later

You get what you pay for, it's cheap.

These meters work once calibrated, but like every other pH meter in the world, it needs to be calibrated regularly, rinsed thoroughly with reverse osmosis water after each use and stored in pH electrode storage solution. If you skip any of these steps, your meter will fail. A bottle of storage solution costs literally more than that meter, so do the math. Keeping all of the above in mind will give you a maximum of 1 year electrode life and being a cheap device is probably a lot less reliable…

Pros
  • handy item
Cons
  • so far so good

Failed in 24 hours for chemical analysis tools

Seems so simple mine must be crazy. Ordered a pH meter to test plants working in a DWC facility. Did the calibration and that's when he started to stagger. After calibration, it was set to 8.78 every time I turned it on. It also showed a standard test fluid of 7.0 at 7.50 (after calibration). in less than 24 hours it is completely unusable. It won't settle before or during use, and I can't recalibrate it because you have to use their ridiculous three-person testing method with pre-provided…

Pros
  • High marks for tester support and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other samples

Love how the display lights up the first time I use it

This helped me find the right pH for my plants. It seems well built. I really like how the display lights up on first use, although I wish it stayed lit because the first few seconds are never accurate, you have to let it calculate and set it to around 60 seconds. Pictured is my pen in my DIY solution vault after 24 hours. WARNING TO ALL NOOBS: Do not trust or test any of these products for water resistance. Don't throw them in the water. It is assumed that only the first 1-1.5 inches will ever

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Unbelievable price
