💧 VIVOSUN 400GPH Submersible Pump: Ultra Quiet Water Pump with High Lift and Versatile Usage Review

I bought this pump for a hydroponic drainage system. It has a respectable stroke (5 feet) for a pump that draws only 15 watts of power. Interchangeable nozzles help you choose hose size. It works fine on my system and I'm happy with it so far.

No switch, water flow settings are equally strong, poor instructions, hoses are intentionally folded in each package, resulting in a significant change in unit performance. It feels like they're all bugs that they could easily fix before selling, which I consider a bad deal.

Not even close to 800 gph. I bought a KEDSUM 880GPH submersible pump for about $2 more for comparison, and this model has significantly higher water consumption. This Vivosun pump also doesn't have a grounding plug, which poses a huge risk to things that have to live underwater. Not impressed.

UPDATE: Was fine while working but after less than 3 months despite regular cleaning and maintenance the pump is producing just a trickle and is no longer good. Had to urgently replace it with a 170gph pump which I've had for years and currently pumps 6x the volume than the Vivosun 400 :/ I'll try to see if the company lives up to the warranty and try again , I think. I ordered this knowing full well that it wouldn't be 400gph. I figured 200 gallons per hour since I would be pumping about 36 inches of water which would normally cut the capacity in half! Luckily I decided to do a test before installing it in the sump filter for my new tank. I filled one with 5 gallons. 3 gallon bucket of water on the floor.
