This remote control car key fob locks and unlocks the car doors perfectly, but does not control the trunk opening. When he asked for help, the seller offered to return $10. Doesn't completely solve the problem, does it?

I purchased these remotes to replace a worn factory remote for my 2005 Solara Cabriolet. They work just as well as the original but are a lot cheaper. The only thing is that they wear out much faster than the factory part. Come on, for that price I can afford to buy a few parts.

These fobs do not program trunk operation. I was disappointed that the original 2 transmitters were allowed to be returned; only to send 2 more identical ones as "spare". I keep them to myself, but the transmitters shouldn't have a "trunk" button to avoid messing with the trunk.

Programming was easy. The trunk release works. Not sure why other reviews say trunk release doesn't work. It almost made me give up buying it, but figured I could live without a remote control trunk opener. You have to press and hold the trunk open button for a few seconds for the trunk to open, but that's a function of the car, not the remote.

One of these devices didn't work when I received it - no transmission (and no battery problem). Not only is there no replacement support (and the seller isn't responsive), but they cost $100-$150 to program. Even if you end up having to order one from a different retailer, you'll end up paying double for programming (if a technician would only charge you once to program both fobs). So order from another seller and make sure both devices work before paying for programming!
