Works fine on a legacy Dell R710 server

Works flawlessly on a legacy Dell R710 server. The customer should be aware that not all SPF+ adapters will work with the Intel NIC. You need SFP+ for Intel NIC

Pros
  • Availability
Cons
  • No performance

X710 did not work on Windows 10 --- X520 Works

I bought X710 because it is the best and the description says it is supported on Windows 10. It didn't work properly so I bought X520 and it seems to work fine. The X710 had network connectivity issues and I had a hard time diagnosing issues with it. There are other reports of problems with the X710.

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Decent Nickname - Computer Components

Used this on a MidnightBSD server. Works better than the 540 chipset and seems to run much cooler. Build quality seemed decent.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Quality

Works on Linux (Plug&Play)

Hello, this is the second card I bought, made sure X550 is the main chip. After some research, the driver for this card is in the Linux kernel. I plugged it in and it worked. I checked the speed and it's 10GB. (9.8) So this works as expected. I recommend if you want to upgrade your network.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Expensive
