🚀 Enhanced Performance with the Volant 152536 PowerCore Cool Air Intake Review

Definitely an improvement from stock. Combined with the Magnaflow Performance muffler and exhaust tip, the engine seems to breathe more. I could tell the difference in sound and better acceleration.

Assembly was easy, took about 10 minutes. As for fuel economy, I'm not sure because I didn't buy it for that. If you want to clean your engine bay, here it is, a real cold air intake that doesn't just suck air out of the engine bay!

Before purchasing I read some reviews that said it needed a fan shroud modification. My installation went flawlessly min, Silverado 5.3 cabin 2008

for Avalanche. Wanted to see if it would help increase fuel economy. Anywhere between 1-1.75mpg depending on how I drive. So not bad. The exhaust still needs to be updated so maybe even a little bit better.

Easy installation, less than an hour. Good pedal response. Gas mileage was up 1mpg, but in a big SUV I'll take it. Looks great under the hood. The sound is only heard when you press really hard, then it is not much louder compared to the factory setting.

But in true MacGyver spirit, I made a bracket and spacer, found the right hardware, and pressed. No time for returns and such. Sounds great, you can feel the power increase throughout the yada yada powerband. It works thanks to the seller, carrier or manufacturer (well, maybe a small manufacturer ;))

Wow. This consumption exceeded even my high expectations. In earnest. Installation is easy, but visit the Volant website for detailed instructions and color pictures. The instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired. Be very, VERY careful with your MAF; Don't drop it, hit it, don't push it, or push it. They're quite delicate, so handle them with care, like an egg or something else fragile. The cap is plastic, but that's cool because if I wanted that stupid metal on my intake in the engine bay…
