OEM filter is approximately the same as any aftermarket filter. The oil filter sits in an odd spot on the bottom rear of the engine. You can get there by hand, but I needed some sort of oil filter wrench to get mine off. It's a bit messy as the oil will drip so make sure you cover the case. I get pre-season maintenance and that's quite a do-it-yourself job.
