I have had two other Vornado fans for a number of years. They ensure excellent air circulation without making a sound. I prefer to use this type of fan in my bedroom over a ceiling fan because I can get the benefit of air circulation without blowing directly on me. We have a small room (11 x 10 feet) that has no wiring for an overhead light and needed something to move the air. Don't Drink Kool-Aid

I bought this fan under the impression that it would somehow "circulate" the air in the room better than a conventional fan. My wife thought I was crazy for paying $70 for a fan. It turns out she was right. When I first unboxed it, the first thing that struck me was that this item looks and feels cheap. I contacted Vornado LLC and asked for a replacement fan blade (it seemed such a waste as the rest of the unit was brand new)

After purchasing this fan. While the fan unit fully deserves 5 stars, I wanted to convey how much we are now fans of Vornado LLC, the maker of this unit. We bought this fan as a gift for our son when he went to college. In short, he accidentally knocked over a fan, and the impact broke one of the fan blades. a waste as the rest of the unit was brand new). Fantastic fan value for money, skip the cheap imitations.

I didn't really believe the Vornado ad until I bought it. I bought the 630 to create a gentle breeze and cooling effect in my room. I live in the Southwest and it's easy to get outside in the summer up to 100+ degrees and in the winter it's nice to have some air circulation so the room doesn't get too stuffy. This fan does a fantastic job of delivering very smooth and consistent airflow without the variability of other "propeller" fans. In my experience, this fan produces one of the smoothest…
