So compact, so great

Great little media player. The thing worked perfectly. Also Videotel's phenomenal technical support is always willing to help me with formatting issues etc.

Ideal for commercial digital signage

This device is ideal for signage. The remote's range isn't that great, but otherwise the VP70 can handle almost any media format you throw at it. The autoplay feature is great!

Works fairly well for TV and video

VP70 works great. I've installed two of these so far, no problems. They play an auto-starting video loop that lasts about 2 minutes. The only negative thing is that the power cord connection on the back is not as secure as we would like. I had some early problems just from not knowing it was disabled.

Doesn't like long video files.

Doesn't play most of my mp4 files from a 1TB SD card. I finally gave up and tried the USB hard drive but the files on it didn't show up so I tried the flash drive. However, this worked for mp4s, which took a very long time to unload, moving on to the next video file after about 20-30 minutes. So not a very reliable device.

Reliable, compact and lightweight player

Very easy to set up. Just plug in the power and plug in your USB media drive. We have 4 of these in our office and they have been working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, reliably and reliably for many years. Very small and compact. We tried Revain's cheaper players (around $30) and they work, but we noticed frame drops when playing videos.

Waited a year for a review

So my review is based on value for money. I got this for digital signage. I've lowered my standards with electronics in general as everyone seems to overdo themselves. This is no different. It can play files without stopping. Video. A photo. Music. And there are many settings. My problem is. Its inconsistency with files. I have two of these. And they don't play .mov. And it's frustrating to convert them. Then autostart. It can work many times, but it is not permanent. What worries me is that I…
