There were 2 original Vizio remote controls, both defective and got a universal one that had only a few functions. Got this one, identical to the original, still working. Good price, better than half of a generic even if it comes out in a year or so.

I ordered one but the batteries don't fit in the compartment which is too big so there isn't a full circuit to make the remote work. Thought it was coincidence and ordered a replacement which is in the same condition. I would not order this product from this seller.

I bought it yesterday and got it this morning. FYI to all new and/or frustrated customers, the battery box is marked "AAA Batteries" even though they don't actually fit in this unit, they are too short/small. But the "AA" batteries fit perfectly in the device and the lid closes well. That's exactly what I did. My device works fine. So before you run out of toughness, I recommend replacing the battery and checking if it's just a mismark before sending it back.
