Not very satisfied, not smooth

Not satisfied with the product. No matter how smooth I laid it, there were bubbles in it. How to sink bubbles like the glue didn't even settle.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Something else

Good movie, but watch out for the "Air Release " pattern.

Transparency film is a good screen protector, but the 'air release' pattern on the back prevents the film from being truly 'crystal clear'. Everything is fine with the taillights and turn signals. For headlights it is better to take a standard film without an "air outlet”. Applying in warmer temperatures is much easier. And having a second person constantly blowing hot air around the foil while you stretch it makes the job that much easier.

Pros
  • Outstanding overall performance.
Cons
  • security.

DO NOT BUY THIS VINYL.

I bought 2 different colored VViViD foils to decorate the headlights and taillights, one black and one clear. Black is a legitimate VViViD product. On the other hand, clearly no. Whatever they sent me sucks and I've tried dry fitting it to my fog lights and it's unclear. Glue is therefore visible. I've bought VViViD records before, but this one doesn't have the VViViD logo on the back of the paper. I was led to believe this is genuine VViViD vinyl but it is not.

Pros
  • Everything OK!
Cons
  • Functionality

Almost impossible to install on a multi-curve headlight

Almost impossible to install on a multi-curve headlight. I tried applying this to the headlights on my 2011 Honda CRV without success. The product wants to curl up and stick to itself all the time, the complex curves of these headlights make it impossible to apply this product. I wish they had told me how bad it is before I ordered the product and spent money on it. The product itself isn't a bad product, it works great on a flathead lake or something light to take a turn with.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine

But these. But read my post

1st off. 3 stars because it was good. But here's the good and the bad. Good protection against stones, bugs. Such little things. I've been wearing sunscreen (don't know yet, but it looks good) since the end of 2016, it's now March. 26. 2019. I live in PHX so the sun is beating down. Take me to supplements: don't leave them for more than a year, a year and a half. The sun burned them onto my headlights and now I can't "just take them off" anymore, they started to turn yellow after 2.5 years, I…

Difficult to use. Doesn't stretch like a 3m film, it's sturdy. Crystal clear when you spray on lube, but it can't fit more than one dimension change. That means it can wrap around a "flat" surface, but can't be used on complex curves. You need to know what type of lubricant to use. I let it stick with some detergent lube but don't know if it will last long (can't use it on my headlights as they are bent). Application without liquid seems to leave the adhesive very visible.

No instructions, bubbles everywhere

I thought this product would at least come with basic instructions for use but it didn't. I've watched the video, yes, and I know roughly where to start installing, but sometimes products are different and the manufacturer may want to tell you how not to screw up the job. Well, these people didn't care. I will install it and then report. Well I tried it on three different wet and dry machines and in all cases the result was bad. Every time you get air or water bubbles. If you try to heat it a…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • phased out

Foil is quite thick, good protection against chipping but a bit difficult to apply. Unfortunately, the product is NOT entirely clear. I received this product in front of my car so I could apply it before the headlights got dirty. I cleaned the headlights to perfection, first with soap and then alcohol to make sure there were no stains left. When trying to install the vinyl the adhesive appears to be opaque. So when you lifted the vinyl to match it or tried to squeeze out bubbles, a visible line

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Easily repairable
