Foil is quite thick, good protection against chipping but a bit difficult to apply. Unfortunately, the product is NOT entirely clear. I received this product in front of my car so I could apply it before the headlights got dirty. I cleaned the headlights to perfection, first with soap and then alcohol to make sure there were no stains left. When trying to install the vinyl the adhesive appears to be opaque. So when you lifted the vinyl to match it or tried to squeeze out bubbles, a visible line formed under the vinyl. So you have a chance to style this and you must do it WITHOUT stretching or you will see the lines! I was able to cover my lens with minimal adjustments or lines, but it still looks like old-fashioned windows that aren't entirely sharp. Too bad.
