Very clever! in Lights & Lighting Accessories

Bought this in Smoke Black to tint my 2016 Focus ST taillights which are probably the most difficult to tint due to their shape. This material is great once heated! The stick is solid but still easy enough to remove and rearrange if you mess something up. Heating to "cure" the film when you have wrinkles really helps when you're confused and need to start over. I've tried several other brands on these jigs including static cling types and water application types and this was definitely the…

Great for my use. - Lights and lighting accessories

It's a bit tricky at first so I don't recommend 12x24. It's too small for my GMC 2014. This was my first experience with a wrapper. It was difficult at first and I used my friend's hair dryer (it worked great). There was no need to purchase a heat gun for this application. Vinyl does not have a smooth surface (doesn't look smooth up close), has a cracked effect, but is shiny. The shade in it is just enough for my needs, but if you want a dark shade, don't buy this light shade. I think the exam…

Pros
  • This is amazing

  • Very expensive

I recently bought a 2006 Lexus IS350. I like the look of the car but like everything in life there is always room for improvement. After going down the YouTube rabbit hole I decided that tinting my taillights would be a cheap DIY project and the look would be sexy when paired with tinted windows and a tinted license plate cover. I was right! Unfortunately, my taillights are a bit more complicated than many of the tutorials I first looked at, so there was definitely a learning curve to…

Not suitable for assembling complex DIY jigs

I was a bit skeptical after reading some of the reviews that said the installation wasn't very user friendly. No, they are fine. This movie can be a real slut. It can be easily overheated, leaving traces of glue everywhere, and sometimes peeling off the glue when changing positions. It's also difficult to adjust around elevated objects. Finally, it has an odd scale that looks like a pattern that could be air vents, but they're pretty noticeable and don't go away. I can't tell from a few feet…

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Easy serviceability

Never installed Air toning, not easy. If you have a flat surface and the film is large enough to cover everything, it's a no-brainer. However, folding the foil along curved surfaces and the edges of those curves is an entirely different matter. The film is very forgiving and you can peel it off a few times during installation until you feel it's done right. However, get it wrong, it's a mess. Getting the film to bend at the edges even after heating is a royal pain and unless you live with it…
