Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice as a chef, I found this thermometer to be quite reliable and practical. It has a magnetic backing that makes it easy to stick on the oven, grill, or refrigerator, and the temperature readings are spot on. The compact size is a plus, and it comes in handy when cooking different types of meats. The only con is that it's not dishwasher safe, but it's very easy to clean by hand. Overall, it's a great addition to any kitchen.

Haven't used it yet but would like to comment on the safety wire provided. It's very thin, thinner than cat hair. To make matters worse, it's twisted into a figure eight and I can't twist it. I'm glad it's made in the USA. It looks like powder coated metal stamping.

Thermostat received quickly and in excellent condition. Have been using it for about 3 weeks now and seems to be measuring the temperature accurately. Mine is mounted on top of the stove as I use a double walled stovepipe. I will check the accuracy once I have the laser thermometer.
