Great for opening sealed electronics and other small projects!

I bought this to replace the battery on my Samsung Galaxy Note 5. It's a small heat gun. The exhaust nozzle is about half an inch in diameter and is sufficiently focused for smaller projects like the one I made. I really wanted that little concentrated heat to be used for my application as I didn't want to damage my phone's electronics while softening the adhesive holding the back cover in place. This heat gun heated up quickly and it was definitely hot enough for my project. A few more things…

Good heat gun; Just a small problem

This is a quality heat gun with a wide range of temperature settings and two fan speeds. Most of my uses are electronic (shrink tubing, drying things, etc.) and it works great for all of those uses. It can also get hot enough to strip paint, although I probably wouldn't use it for a large job. like cleaning a barn wall. It's designed for small projects and crafts, and that's where it excels. This is how the device cools down after use. The only issue I've had is that I haven't figured out how…

Plastic restoration for vehicle exterior

I bought this knowing it would be used for a variety of purposes but immediately needed a restoration of the plastic trim on my Chevy Avalanche which had faded to a dull gray and was protruding. like a sore thumb with a factory black finish. I've seen videos on YouTube showing it's much more effective than buying and using liquid lies. I couldn't find anything in my garage to hang this thing up, so I realized my mistake when I could smell the lid of my trash can melting. Make sure you have a…

They just don't last long

I have rated this product 4 to 5 stars in the past. However, I cannot recommend this product more. We have bought several over the years. At first we bought more than one as add-ons to speed up our work. More hands usually means faster work. More recently, however, additional purchases have been replaced because the existing ones have died. Products are simply not stocked. The first pair lasted 14 to 16 months. Then there was a design change, and more and more new models didn't even last 6…

Highly recommended. I took it as the price was good.

Highly recommended. I took this as the price was well below the RRP and it was on my wish list. I learned about this tool from Jennifer McGuire, a big name in the papermaking world. She posts "Favorite Things" every year (regardless of the year) on YouTube. Miraculously, she had this embossing tool that she calls the "grandfather of all embossers." I rushed to search for this tool on Revain and there it was. She wasn't kidding. It heats up very quickly to the temperature required for embossing.

Pros
  • HEAT GUN ADJUSTABLE SETTINGS AND DURABILITY: Two fan speeds provide additional control to customize to the needs of your project. Features a corrosion resistant nozzle for long term use and a built in hook for easy wall or desk storage
Cons
  • So far so good
