O-ring issues for expansion valves and parts

O-ring issue seems to fit and needs to be checked every time they are cleaned and reinstalled. The last new valve lasted less than an hour right out of the box - the O-ring broke.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Exact replacement. A little more than I expected.

Exact replacement. A little more than I expected but it worked the first time. I have found that in order for your sprayer to continue working you must remove both the pump and check valves, clean thoroughly and allow to dry and you will not need to replace them again.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • No performance

Would I Buy Again - Replacement Parts

Worked great to fix a sprayer that wasn't working properly. CLEANING instructions not included in the instructions; When you're done cleaning the block, run a few ounces of light homemade oil through the machine. (I did) and it saved me a lot of long-term storage headaches. I also bought Grieco's long shelf life solution so you don't have to use oil when using it. This protects these parts from rusting or corrosion.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Modern

Failed within an hour.

The old valve failed after a short period of operation. I took it apart (yes it can be taken apart) and there was a large nick in the hole, the small check valve o-ring was disintegrating and the small plastic o-ring retainer was weathered. So I installed this new valve. Broke after an hour of use. Same failure mode as the original. The bureau is made of soft metal, while the o-ring mount is made of cheap plastic. This item is cheaply made. Never again a Wagner. Better buy a Graco.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Defect

Easy to swap out and has breathed new life into my Wagner sprayer.

Easy to swap out and breathe new life into my Wagner syringe. After a few seasons of inactivity in the garage, I pulled out a wagner to paint the fence. At first I couldn't get any flow at all with the fill or spray settings. I disassembled the gun and found a coarse/clogged filter. After cleaning it I got something, but it would take me years to paint the fence. I ordered this spare part, a metal filter and wow-lah - back in business! Apparently I have to remove and clean them after use…

Pros
  • Have fun
Cons
  • Only available in white

Must be bought 'new' rather than used

Worked great for a short time until my sprayer stopped pressurizing, at the time it seemed normal as it does when the tank is empty. When I checked there was still a lot of paint but the pressure wasn't increasing. Inlet strainer, inlet and outlet valves, sprayer emptied, checked and cleaned, then washed with a cleaning solution, poured paint, but the problem was not solved. Luckily the rest of the piece I painted was small and I hand painted it with a roller and brush. After a complete…
