Great heart rate monitor for cyclists and others

Love it. I don't like chest straps, and as an avid road cyclist, my Apple Watch doesn't really sync with Garmin Connect, Strava, or other popular apps. hours between charges. I can't say how long it takes in practice. I ride about 2 1/2 hours straight and if I don't charge it for 4 rides it still works. Some have complained about the strap. So far I've driven 1000 km, no problems. Accuracy is excellent and matches my Apple Watch reports well.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I ordered this after another HR chest strap broke. I always have the same problem with them, eventually they fail because sweat seeps into them. What got me to try TICKR FIT is this: 1) It's a sealed unit, with less chance of sweat getting in. 2) Battery life compared to Scosche Rhythm+ (Rhythm 24 was out of stock when I ordered). 3) My overall good experience with other Wahoo devices. Few things. First, it's much more comfortable to wear than a chest strap, so that's a plus. However, I would…

TICKER FIT > Scosche > Mio

This is mine third optical hour monitor - used mainly for running (daily) and sometimes for cycling (weekly). Mio Link and Scosche Rhythm+ were my other two that lasted 2 years each. The Mio had the most durable strap that didn't come off while swimming, but it picked up cadence and only had an 8-hour battery. The Scosche was a little more reliable, picking up the beat sometimes but rarely, and the bands lasted about 6 months and were easy to change. Battery life 7 hours. I've had this Wahoo…

Very satisfied, we use them every day

I did a lot of research before purchasing 2 Wahoo Ticker Fits for me and my wife. It turns out that almost all the negative reviews we read about are easy to correct. A little trial and error in placing the sensor on your body goes a long way in preventing dropouts and false readings. Experiment with connecting Bluetooth to your phone, especially when cycling, and keep distances short. I wear mine just under my shoulder when cycling and on the same side as my phone holder. Also, DO NOT use…

Unreliable. loses connection. stuck. Garbage.

My first rating of the TICKR was 5 stars. And in the beginning it was well deserved. But over time, TICKR FIT became less and less reliable. Eventually I got fed up and contacted Wahoo Support. They sent me a replacement and it suffers from the same reliability issues. To be honest this is a trend I've seen with Wahoo products. They seem to make good products, but these products don't last! I have a few things from them and this is a really constant, big issue with Wahoo hardware. So what's up…
