Does what it's supposed to do

Needed something simple to put in an Apple TV. This unit takes a lot of wiring so I couldn't mount it behind the TV (which I would have preferred) so I wanted something that blended in as much as possible. The footrest (I just call it that) adjusts well to any desired angle. Fits snugly and creates a nice flat surface to rest whatever you need. I don't know its limitations and I don't care since you shouldn't put anything heavier than an Apple TV on it anyway. So for that - it works fine!

It is pressed lightly against the top of the TV.

Instructions are sparse but easy to understand. I installed my little Fios remote on this unit which I placed in the top right corner in front of my TV. The small Fios box stays in place with a rubber band that wraps around it and the base of the device. Beware if you have active kids the block can be easily knocked out of the TV as the scissors are squeezed with light pressure, that's how it works. Not a perfect solution!

I was trying to use this for my small direct cable box. It is approximately 5 inches wide and 3.5 inches long. That does not fit. The first thing that really surprised me is the band they show in the picture, HAIR TIE! Not real elastic rope. So far, hair bands only stretch. So it was a bust. I then tried to use it to mount my Google Mini on my TV but it still failed! The back isn't solid and doesn't really stick to your TV. The front has a very small lip to hang it on a mini shelf but it's too…

What a cool little device!

I've had Roku devices for years - from the little box, to the Stick, to the Express, which attaches to the side or top of the TV with the included tape. Unfortunately, today's TVs don't really have a flat surface to attach them to, as screens are so thin there isn't a wide enough flat surface to attach the Roku Express - it just falls off over time. Since the Express needs to have a direct line of sight to the remote to work, this presents a problem. I didn't want it in the entertainment center

A solid way to mount a compact camera to a monitor if you don't mind bezels

I first came across this product while looking for speaker mounts for my home theater. But I realized that placing my compact camera over the monitor like a webcam could be a great alternative to tripod mounts. The truth is, yeah, she's doing a pretty good job.
