I bought this to mount a modern 27" and an old 17" monitor together, change the angle of my desk and also make it a little "quake proof" like the 27-inch monitor previously topped several towers. I wasn't expecting much from the build quality and clamping force so I expected to have to design the top brace to keep everything stable. Like many people during the pandemic I was forced to work from home. When I live in a studio apartment, workspace is scarce, so I can't afford to fill my entire workspace with monitor stands.
