Good quality part but fully clamped it was loose in my application which was a hair's breadth or slightly smaller than the specified diameter. So if your pipe is bigger then most likely it will work. If the size or something else (I mean something smaller) is smaller than don't buy, buy the next smaller size. In my case it was the smallest size. This clamp is ideal for sealing 2 1/4 inner tubes. There is a small rubber or resin gasket at the pinch point to seal it. Sure, it costs more than a standard clip, but the fact that you can remove the muffler without cutting it open is worth the extra few bucks when it comes time to replace it after a few years. It does not squeeze any of the connected pipes. Coat the threads with anti-seize paste and next time you need to work on your exhaust you'll be fine.

This joint was perfect for my application ('03 Pontiac Vibe). I had an exhaust pipe ripped off the cat outlet (clean crack at factory weld). The exhaust outlet was 2 1/4" OD and the catalytic converter outlet flange was slightly larger, more like 2 3/8". This clamp fits snugly on either surface.
