Works for 2000 ULEV Honda Accord

2000 was Accord ULEV (Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) and Magnaflow didn't have enough filter metals for my car's emission standards. The Cat encoder code light on the dash came on after installing Magnaflow. This unit was easily installed (by a mechanic) and the dashboard light went out. This one fits the bill and is made out of stainless steel, so it should last a long time. The only thing that might worry me in the future is the heat shield, which is a series of angular metal spot welds in a…

Pros
  • CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE - Uses OE style precision plating processes to apply catalytic material to the substrate and provides consistent performance to ensure emissions compliance
Cons
  • Could have gone with the newer model

Good spare part replacement

Very happy with purchase. 5* per piece. 1* for my skills as a mechanic. But the score is for the part. Like most people, I started hearing a knock from my 2002 Accord 2.3L LX. I saw a few videos on YouTube and it looked doable. I parked the car on the ramp and sprayed it with PB penetrant. But I could not loosen the rusty nuts. I paid my mechanic to install it. Still the cheaper way. I live in Texas and don't need a CARB compliant cat. But knowing that a CARB compliant cat would be better for…

Pros
  • SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY - Optimal high tech coating for superior performance (compared to EPA compliant converters)
Cons
  • Not sure

Correct part for my 2002 California Honda Accord 4cyl LX

I had to do a two-year smog test in California. Strictly at the ZVEZDA station. My MIL light came on. It was giving out P420 codes and there was a rattling noise coming from the exhaust system and nothing could be seen. After 290,000 km of driving, one could assume that the torque converter would have to be replaced. I like to use official Honda OEM parts, but new factory parts start at $1,100 for parts alone, so I decided to look for them. I researched this and in fact this is listed on the…
