Baofeng UV-5R is a modern semi-professional radio station. However, made on a modern element base, it has many functions inherent in professional equipment. The main feature of the Baofeng UV-5R radio is operation in two frequency bands: VHF (136-174 MHz) and UHF (400-520 MHz). In other words, this model is compatible with most portable radios, including the most popular amateur bands LPD and PMR. An important advantage is the simultaneous operation on two channels: this will allow you to listen to one channel and fully communicate on the other. The numbers and frequencies of both channels are simultaneously displayed on a two-line display. In addition, the Baofeng UV-5R walkie-talkie can be used as an FM receiver (65 MHz - 108 MHz).
The transmitter power of 5 watts provides reliable communication at distances up to 7 km. Baofeng UV-5R has 128 memory cells for storing channel frequencies. The VOX function (activation of transmission by voice, without pressing a button) may come in handy.
