It does everything they say and more!

Worth the money! I would recommend this product to anyone and everyone. The tips heat up quickly and the charge lasts for the duration of the box.

Pros
  • Rechargeable battery - no need to keep buying expensive batteries
Cons
  • Not as thick as other models

Superb Cordless Soldering Iron

Heats up and cools down amazingly quickly. The handle is thick enough not to strain your hands, unlike other overly slippery irons. The controls are easy to use and have a solid construction. The lid locks the iron in place when it is off with a simple physical mechanism. It's a great price and I'm glad I bought it! It can be improved by adding a temperature selector and the ability to use the iron while charging.

Pros
  • Fast heating - in 10-15 seconds you are ready to solder.
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required

The Wall Lenk FX3 heats up well enough for a cordless/rechargeable soldering iron, and the battery seems to have a decent charge. As for internal battery life, only time will tell. My main criticism of this device is that the tips are expensive, relatively difficult to find, and fairly limited in the types available. At the time of writing this review, I believed there were three tips: a tapered tip, a hot knife tip, and a shrink tip.

Pros
  • Easily interchangeable tips - allows for quick job changes.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
