Exactly what I was looking for.

I wanted an alternative to sitting all day at work. This has worked out perfectly for me and my 2 co-workers who take turns with me using it. It is sturdy but fairly light weight and easy to move. It was easy to assemble. It is big enough to hold a regular size monitor(we left the tower behind the stand up desk), the keyboard, and a phone, and there is plenty of room leftover without being too big. This was exactly what I was looking for.

Pros
  • Sturdy - supports my laptop, mouse and pad, 2nd monitor and coffee cup. Works great for me.
Cons
  • Lack of storage space - despite its sturdy construction, the desk doesn't come with any compartments or drawers for storage, making it difficult to keep your items organized.

An inexpensive way to convert your desk to a standing desk- that looks good too

Using a standing desk was one of my new year's resolutions, but most are pretty expensive. I initially bought a tray type desk top, which worked but looked really cheap. So I ordered this. It looks very nice on top of my office desk and has plenty of room for my work. I love this desk top! Just be careful when assembling. When I screwed the locking pins really tight they produced unsightly dimples on the top and tapping the dowel in actually caused a piece to chip off. I contacted the company…

Loving it! I had been just using a dinner tray to try to elevate my laptop a bit, but this is much sturdier and looks much nicer. Plus, it is about the right height. I just wish it could adjust, as I tend to alternate between sitting and standing throughout the day, but then it would lose a lot of its sturdiness and nice appearance. I like that I now have a large workspace on top, plus quite a bit of room still underneath it.

Why didn't I do this sooner?

Got it for home. Feels wonderful. Assembly and setup were easy, no real need to spend the extra cash for the assembly unless you're physically unable to do it yourself. The color doesn't quite match my decor, but it's worth it for my bad back. If you're on the fence about getting a standing desk, this is the cheapest and easiest option. Loving it.
