For something so cheap it turned out to be very good after completion. And it opens and closes precisely and gently. I'm thinking of throwing away all my metal boxes and replacing them with this product.

I wouldn't mess with these boxes. I have found that almost every type of this type has excess glue on the seams. Tried grinding, doesn't work. I just paint them and that works best, otherwise a good box for the price. Arrived in excellent condition and quickly.

I saw the box and read the title. Nut Hollow.box. The price was too small for a walnut but I didn't read the full description. All my fault. The box is fine. It doesn't close flush and the wood is very soft, but I'll leave that alone. It does the job. I use it for my SpiceBreeze subscription cards and nobody will see it.

The box I received was fine until I opened it. Then it wouldn't close anymore. As it was supposed to be a gift I didn't have time to return it. However, nothing I did helped. Eventually I found out I could go to my local craft store and pay half (or less with a coupon) for basically the same thing, but it worked. Suffice it to say I'm not impressed. I will not be buying this item again.

Not a nut! It's actually boxwood (it's a type of wood, a soft wood with a very fine texture). Much better than expected though! A black spot and drips of glue inside, so not ideal; but it fits 3x5 index cards with little space on either side and looks decent. The lid closes just above the bottom, which has become a relief. Ordering from you is risky, but we are happy with what we got. When you order one, use some sandpaper or a sharp knife to slightly round the edges.
