compared to Tupperware

I prefer Tupperware but for the money I'm pleasantly surprised. It doesn't close tightly like Tupperware but does a very good job with my lettuce and I remove the core and my lettuce before storing. If my salad dangles a bit when stored, it will perk up overnight, just like Tupperware. So I'm only alone in saying I prefer Tupperware (accidentally threw away the Tupperware lid, now it's useless).

Highly recommend: Container

So happy I finally found it! I've searched so many home and grocery stores and couldn't find one anywhere. In my opinion this is salvation. I buy a head of lettuce from the store, pluck all the leaves, wash them and toss them here ready for sandwiches or whatever salad you eat! Attached a photo in my fridge also because I live in an apartment with a small fridge and it still fits perfectly, even stacked on top of something else.

Has already paid for itself with heads of lettuce

That seems like the craziest thing that can bring joy, but wow. I was skeptical of another reviewer's claim that it lasted the salad for 3 weeks, but trust me. This head I'm working on is at least as old and fresh enough apart from a little browning around the edges. As someone who goes through half a head each week before throwing away the rotten leftovers, that's very exciting. Salad isn't very expensive until you eat it at this rate and spend this much. If you like salad this is a must!

It works as advertised!

Lettuce and other fresh vegetables tend to brown and lose their crispness in the fridge. Even if I save it in the "Clearer" section. We try to make the salad and eat it quickly after we bring the veggies home, but sometimes they stay in the fridge longer than we'd like. To make sure that doesn't happen, I have a "salad guard". It works. I bought a head of lettuce and before I could use it I went on vacation for a week. I put the salad in the salad bin and when I got home it was just as fresh as

Better than Tupperware!

I have had a Tupperware salad container for over 30 years and use it every day. When the bottom of the bowl broke I was frustrated because I knew I probably couldn't replace it. I was right, Tupperware no longer makes this product. I found you can find it new and used online. Both options cost more than I originally paid for my bowl. The Walter Drake Salad Keeper is slightly larger than a Tupperware bowl, just as solidly made and the price is very practical. By the way, if you follow the…

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS >

I was surprised by the many negative reviews I bought about this product but I bought it anyway. People are funny, they don't read instructions, I do. I've had it for about 6 weeks and I couldn't be happier. I've had more expensive salad holders and they didn't work as well. He might not look super tough or anything, but what matters is how he works, and this pup works. I can honestly say that after a few weeks of storage the salad looks fresher than when it was bought. Follow the instructions…

Good product in food containers

Good product. Love the fact that it keeps the salad going for weeks. I'm not kidding, I've never seen anything like it. The longest I've seen is just over a month. Yes I know it makes you stop and think about it. I want to eat a salad that is a month old. But let me tell you this when I tell you that I saw him keep the lettuce for so long. If I hadn't stopped and thought about it, I wouldn't have recognized it from the lettuce. I'm telling you this because as I pulled the lettuce out of the…
