I was very disappointed with this as it was perfect for my desk where I only had a 2 pin socket. I tried this for a few days but kept hearing the high pitched noise and thought it was coming from the power strip. I unplugged all the electronics but it makes noise even with nothing plugged in as long as the unit is powered on.
