When I downloaded the driver for this adapter cable, it destroyed my monitor. Of course they offered to refund the cost of the cable. With a new monitor I had to buy it didn't help me much because they ruined my monitor. It messed up the resolution, font and color for the monitor. I asked a professional to check it and he told me that the software provided blew my monitor.

Works fine the first time you install it. Confuse cursor with ] and finger pointing images. You have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting the PC to get the cursor back to the normal arrow. The best I can say about this interface device is the savings of buying a modern monitor for a few hundred dollars. And it's cheap enough that if you're tired of messing around with the cursor-tossing problem, it won't cause angina compared to the cost of a new monitor.

I have a Windows 10 Lenovo Flex laptop with USB 2.0 and "large" HDMI inputs. My old Dell monitor is 16:9 like the others, but I usually use 16:9. It has a 9-pin VGA output and a 21-pin HDMI. There were no instructions but there was a disk with an executable for the driver. This means that if you need to use it to connect to a monitor, you'll first need to connect a *different* monitor (presumably one that doesn't need a 15-pin connector) to your computer so you can install the driver (If you had another monitor, why do I need this converter?). but after installing the driver it still doesn't work with Windows 10.
