These were purchased for a 1985 Ford Bronco to fit Warn Premium manual hubs. Although the instructions weren't the clearest, eventually the job was completed and they got the job done. There is plenty of help on the internet if you have trouble with it.

I've seen negative reviews - if these people had read the insert that came with the product (it's only about two sentences long) or even just used their common sense, they wouldn't have installed it incorrectly and broken the product . failed. Warn makes a great product. the true industry leaders. Would definitely buy again.

I broke a small protrusion on the inner locknut when removing my original locknut. Underneath all that old grease is a slot for the lock washer, don't push the washer out! It was the exact replacement. Tightened to 135 pounds and then rotated 90 degrees. Went like clockwork. I wish it was that expensive for some nuts and washers.

I bought these with Warn manual bushing conversion kit 29071. The lock washer is of poor design and quality. The tab of the pointer that fixes it is too short. When I tried to tighten the outer race, the tongue slipped out and started rotating with the inner race, creating too much torque for the bearing. All it takes is a little redesign to make the tab longer. There's plenty of room for a longer tab. Oddly enough, it only happened on one side.

I finally settled on Warn after comparing it to Mile Marker. Couldn't be happier. Little can fail here, since it is pure metal. Absolutely clear and concise instructions (better than what I saw at the time). I'm not a mechanic and have never converted self-locking bushings to manually operated bushings. Fear not, these instructions were designed for people like me (diagrams, images and text). As soon as I opened the box, I knew I was going to be fine. Highly recommended.
