Warrior Alpaca Socks Comfort Black Review

I bought these socks hoping they would fit and not be too tight at the top. I wear size 6-6 1/2 women's shoes and ordered a medium size as indicated in the chart. They are too long for me. In addition, the elastic at the top is too tight and prevents blood circulation. Very good socks but they don't fit me. If you have large ankles, neuropathy or other circulatory issues I would say you should probably look elsewhere.

These socks go perfectly with sneakers in winter or with heeled boots. These are the only socks I trust when wearing 3 inch heels or more for more than an hour because they have GREAT cushioning and keep my feet warm enough that I can save a little on other outerwear! The only problem is that they pick up a lot of lint if you don't hand wash them separately. Also animal hair. The first pair ordered was PERFECT, with a very nice and soft insole so I ordered a second pair. When they arrived they were quite different from the first pair, not as heavily padded, no extra padding in fact. The material is nice and soft, but very thin. Softness and warmth in the cold, even when wet, and comfort on warm days make them a bargain. These alpaca socks are not itchy at all and I am very sensitive to them (wool allergy) - higher micron alpacas can be itchy so should be medium to fine; they wear well too. It looks like merino wool.
