They're pretty good - they definitely don't pick up all the lint. I'm experimenting with two of them on top of each other to help with that. I have a secondary filter made from a standard window grille that fills up much faster than these. (so I know they don't catch everything)

Very easy to slip onto the end of the washing machine drain hose. It only takes a minute to remove and replace the old one. He doesn't slip. He catches everything. The first one I used lasted 3 months and I washed about 30 loads a month. So that's a pretty good value too. I wonder when will I finish all 12? I think in a few years.

I thought these lint collectors were the same as the ones I bought at local stores but they are not. The mesh opening is definitely bigger and the wire size seems to be smaller (thinner). When you roll them out they aren't as rigid which makes me think they are of lower quality than what I'm used to. As I only installed one today I will update this review after checking a few to see how durable they are. So far I'm not happy.
