Works great with my Skywatcher HEQ5 and ASIAIR Pro

I am using this product to get rid of the hand control on my HEQ5 with ASIAIR Pro. Make sure you have your ASIAIR Pro mount set to EQMod, sync the mount in the Asiair program and it works great. Highly recommended and also ASIAIR Pro makes equatorial alignment easy and fun.

Works well with both HEQ5 and EQ6-R Pro

Bought this primarily for use with my HEQ5 but works as described with both of my Sky-Watcher GOTO mounts. However, the cable might not be the strongest design; I think I have to be more careful with this than with other cables. Be sure to set the baud rate for the EQMOD driver to 9600 in ASCOM Toolbox to detect your working COM port.

This will connect AZGTi to both ASIAir Pro and the computer.

I'm having trouble connecting my Asiair to AZGTi. I asked this seller if this would work but he was able to confirm it. Just in case you're in the same boat, it works as soon as I plugged it in. I couldn't connect them via Wi-Fi and was worried I bought a brick. Thanks to this cable I can use it as a carrier however I want.

It works fine but the design could be improved

This has been working fine with my Orion Sirius Mount on Windows and my Raspberry Pi for the last 6 months or so. The price is pretty good in my opinion. But I don't like the sleeve that goes through the RJ45 jack. It is difficult to pull it out of the holder. I just leave it out and it dangles in the middle of the string. It doesn't bother me though and for the price it's a good cable.

Plug and play! in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

I tried a different brand of EQdir cable and it was very disappointing. It's difficult to find suitable drivers for it, let alone install them. My astrophotography setup was crying out for a quick fix. I tried this cable from DC and my Win10 laptop recognized it immediately. I replaced the hand controller on my HEQ5 Pro with this cable, connected it to my laptop and voila everything works great. EQMOD and Stellarium will now talk to and control the mount. Very easy.
