THIS scanner is completely useless .It constantly drops the connection and fails to scan barcodes resulting in frustrated employees and longer lines at the checkout. The only positive aspect of this product is its small size, making it easy to carry around. However, that doesn't make up for the fact that it doesn't work. My husband bought this reader to scan serial number barcodes on cell phones for our company. He only gave it 3 stars because you have to hold it in a certain way and when he says long distance it means it doesn't work that well at close range, in other words he didn't know it was only long range means. He says he wouldn't buy it again because of this, you have to hold it exactly 6-8 inches from the barcode, which is a problem when trying to scan a lot of barcodes quickly.
