The scanner works, the Bluetooth adapter doesn't!

The scanner works, but the wireless adapter that should be installed without special drivers does not work. I've tried this on 3 computers I have and it didn't work on any of them.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Inexpensive barcode scanner

Works well seems to do its job. The scans appear to be accurate. I messed up the review a bit because software barcodes are mostly included on the DVD - which means you have to print out the codes needed to set up the scanner. And if your printer isn't very good, they won't scan. I had to print the codes on 2 different printers before I got the working set I needed.

Pros
  • Very good quality
Cons
  • Annoyed

The bluetooth adapter is terrible. It's too expensive for what it does

Wand not working. It stops working intermittently and we have to stop to reset it. The bluetooth adapter is terrible. It's too expensive for what he does. We have bought 4 for our business so far. They burn constantly and are very unreliable. We were looking for a handheld scanner that worked flawlessly, but we chose this one because we know the devil.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Not reliable

I was able to connect this scanner to my tablet.

I was able to connect this scanner to my tablet with no problems. The scanner is used 5-9 hours a day, 5 days a week and I've had no complaints about it dying out. So far I haven't had any real problems with it. The only complaint I have is that it's a bit difficult to wire up and program. Nowhere in the documentation is a time limit between scans mentioned; Because of this, I took my time, leaving about 5 seconds between scans to make sure I was scanning the correct barcode. Well it was…

Great scanner for POS (Point of Sale) devices

I have tried 2 other scanners in the last few months. A manufacturer has the most difficulty with the English language, less so with the operating instructions. The second had better documentation and I think I could get it to do what I wanted, but I just couldn't get it to connect to Bluetooth. The Wasp WWS5501 had a great getting started guide and user manual on the CD that came with the scanner. I was able to get the scanner up and running in 15 minutes (probably less). I use preamble and…

  • Good thing

  • Unbelievable price

The scanner is excellent, the bluetooth adapter is terrible.

I purchased this scanner for use in our school library. Initially, the installation was very difficult and it took a few hours to sync with the Bluetooth adapter. I would also like to say that the CD it came with only contained a PDF of the user manual and no "driver disk" as stated on Axis' barcode website in the box. With the help of our two IT staff, we got it working despite confusing instructions. The scanner itself works great and appears to be a quality device. Sometimes he makes strange
