This reader is not very accurate. Maybe because I use.

This reader is not very accurate. Maybe because I use my index finger. It's also not very well built. I have it on the side of my keyboard (my keyboard has a side USB) and every time I touch it it "disconnects" from the PC. then reconnect. I have to press it lightly. Also, it's not built into Windows. It has its own fingerprint program. Because of its inaccuracy, I wanted to add an extra finger and give more readings. Spring. this reader knows that this finger has already been used. So it…

Useless to me. It fails far more often than it works.

Complete nonsense. Who knew my fingerprint changes every few minutes? It absolutely refuses to recognize my fingerprint more than 10% of the time. This. ALMOST EVERY TIME it doesn't recognize my fingerprint. My phone and laptop keep recognizing my fingerprint, sometimes with errors. However, this is useless. Every time I try I know it probably won't work. I reset my fingerprints more than 5 times. It just doesn't work.

  • Negative impression

Not working on Windows 10

I have tried to install on a Windows 10 system several times as I have 4 in my family. Every problem is exactly the same, I couldn't get a print lock with any finger. Did all the troubleshooting procedures, installed and uninstalled the software, enabled and disabled, recoded the registry, ran sfc commands, changed nothing. Sent this reader back and bought a different brand and it worked the first time! Either this device was defective or it doesn't work with Windows 10. Hours lost when it…

  • Finally bought

Worked fine until he tried to burn me

Easy to use and install. The reader is often picky and needs several tries. Improved performance if you retrain it with fingerprints from time to time. However, today I found a glowing LED (which usually just flashes green when your fingerprint is recognized). It flashed many colors very quickly and would have burned the pad of my finger if I hadn't removed it very quickly. It was very hot. Wouldn't recommend if it's only good for 6 months.

  • Free for educational purposes

  • So-so

Finally biometric authentication with Windows Hello on my laptop!

This is one of two fingerprint readers announced by Synaptics in their press release that will support their Natural ID technology. This appears to be the first product to launch as I've been searching for both products daily since their announcement in early January. I tested it on MS Edge demo page for web authentication (FIDO 2.0 specification) and it works fine. I can't wait for FIDO technology to be widely adopted by the online community, especially banks and retailers. This will be a game

Device required: Computer and accessories

I have 3 devices of the same brand but from different suppliers. One for work (Windows 7), one for Surface Pro (Windows 10) and one for laptops (same OS). So far there are no problems. My co-workers are jealous, they have to type their usernames and ooooo long passwords every day to get into the computers at work (guess how often they make typos, and CapsLock is sometimes on hehehehe), and they do it each the time they return to work after a break. I no longer have to enter logins and…

  • Satisfied so far

Life changes. How did I do it before it happened?

Seriously, this is life changing. I've been using fingerprint scanners on my phones and tablets for two years and it never occurred to me how much better it is than typing a password or some stupid string combination. Fingerprint recognition is the fastest and best way to create passwords; I'm touching the reader and my computer is on, I haven't played with the keyboard or tapped the screen. The key is quite small; One of the photos I uploaded shows it next to a Logitech integrating receiver…

Pros
  • Unique website login feature (for Chrome and IE users) and favorite file encryption allow you to lock your files in one easy step.
Cons
  • Only available in white

Great for Windows Hello on Windows 10!

I bought this to run on my personal desktop computer use. I plugged it in, the driver installed automatically, and when I set up Windows Hello everything worked fine. Enpass Password Manager can use Windows Hello and it has worked amazingly so far. Instead of entering a PIN or password to log into Windows, I tap with my finger. Same goes for my password manager, don't miss a second. I highly recommend this device and will be purchasing more such devices for other devices. Oh, and I tested this…
