Make sure the amount of fat is no more than 1/4 inch deep

I had quite a bit of oil from frying chicken in a large skillet so I had to use two packets. It got hard but not hard so I could just pick it up to get rid of it. Maybe a smaller pan. I'll try again if I don't have enough lube to get rid of it.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • There are caveats

Too expensive to be practical

This product works as described if you have read the instructions on Revain or found them online (there are no English instructions in the product) but at a price of 2.37 packs, needed for recycling costs about $7 per quart of oil, in my opinion this is not a very practical solution.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Fade

No more oil: household chemicals

To ensure it works as it should and you use it, while the oil is still hot, open the package, empty the package and stir. Take it off the fire and let it brew. He then sucks up all the used oil and scrapes it off with a spatula and throws it in the trash. I've been using it for several years and it works as expected. If I use a lot of oil then I use two suction packs.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Available in white only

It definitely works

It works. That's great. It is important. But at the price of just a few packs? Come on. It's pretty expensive lol. Drop the price by at least a dollar (preferably two) or offer a percentage off the more people buy and I will keep buying them. Until then, this is an amazing product, but a little more expensive than what you buy if you only use frying oil once during cooking.

Turns vegetable oil into gelatin!

This solves the age-old problem: how do you get rid of old cooking oil? Just mix up a bag or two of powder, stir and let sit for a while until the oil cools and turns into a jelly-like solid, which can then be thrown in your regular trash. There isn't a word of English on the packaging, so be aware that the oil temperature must be above 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Nothing to say except that it works great.

  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Style 90

It works out! suitable for house cleaning

I heard about this product on the morning radio show. I was skeptical because it sounded too good to be true. I had some bacon grease left over from breakfast prep and added the powder as directed. BOOM! After an hour it was a solid blob of fat. I had to run a spatula along the edge and it came right out. No more searching for an empty container to fill with grease and throw away. I have definitely recommended this product.

Pros
  • One year trial period

Excellent Product - Household Items

I've never used this product before, I've only heard from internet that it's good for recycling vegetable oil. There are no directions or directions in English. , both on the Revain website and on the packaging itself, which was disappointing at first! This particular pack size comes with ten individually wrapped "balls" (they look like shredded dried rice) and because I didn't know HOW to use them, I LOSE 7 packs by putting them in the frying oil I use had on my counter. And it didn't work…

This works really well with All Purpose Cleaners

Recycling vegetable oil is one of the reasons I don't make my favorite Karaage. But after learning about this magic powder solution, I can cook as much as I can. This isn't for a deep fryer that uses a lot of oil, but if you're using a deep or wok pan, this product comes in very handy. Simply pour 1 packet into the still hot oil (1 packet is about 400ml, that's about 1 cup and 2/3) and stir, the oil will turn into a hard jelly in an hour, then just toss in the trash and already are done. There…

Didn't work for me

The problem is all the instructions are in Japanese so you have two diagrams on the back of the box. One shows the contents of the envelope being poured into a pot and stirred; the second shows the hardened contents of the pan being scooped out with a spatula as a single hardened mass. In my experience, while the contents of the packets will at least somewhat soak up the oil in the pan, the end product isn't much different than if I just let the pan cool on its own. The "hardened" oil had to be
