Came just right. There are no connection problems. Not quite sure if they'll work as intended in a lightning strike, and hopefully never have to find out.

After two lightning strikes that destroyed both the modem and router, it's time to invest in Ethernet surge protectors. This small device is easy to install and inexpensive. I have no way of knowing if it protects against lightning surges, but it's waiting to prove itself.

We had a common situation with our new timer due to power outages and power surges. This little device fits neatly into an existing plug, and then the ethernet cable plugs firmly into the plug. Since installing it, I haven't had any more problems. Clock circuit boards are very expensive when you blow them up. I'm still waiting to see how long this experiment will last!

I had two routers and ethernet cables that were completely blown by lightning and the internet company had to go out to fix it (remember they took 5 days to fix my internet both times). So I would like to try this product and so far it works. My internet router and ethernet cable are fine, so be it.

Really simple device, just plug in; however, it is too wide to be used side by side in a switch. Basically, the device occupies 3 switch ports because the width means you can't add anything on either side. If you have a lot of space this is a very simple solution, if you are limited and use every port or almost every port then this is not the best choice as it turns a 20 port switch into a 10 port switch .
