Does exactly what it should.

This is an amazing, very smart warning device that will alert anyone to a water leak in a place you don't see often. Installation is nothing more than deploying it and placing it where you want it.

Water alarm that works!

We now place one of these water detectors under each sink. The alarm clock is shrill - you can't help but hear it. Avoid flooding, it's cheap insurance. Take this from someone who has had this and regrets not having bought these detectors sooner.

NO JOKE, YOU NEED ONE

This is a real lifesaver if overflow has ever been a problem in the bathroom or kitchen of your home or RV. And to be fair warning, the beeper is probably twice as loud as a regular smoke alarm. Wow, it works! I will buy again without hesitation. It saved me a whole day of agony... Thanks to everyone who helped bring this wonderful product to market!

How to turn it off

I searched the internet how to turn them off after replacement. If you use the recommended replacement date, the device will still have power and howl when you try to throw it in the trash or e-waste bin. Cut off the top just below the seam with a hacksaw, rotary tool, or whatever. You will see the battery inside. Simply release the latch with a screwdriver and remove the battery. One more thing: the manufacturer could have made the battery completely replaceable by making the top detachable…

AVOID WHEN YOU ARE SLEEPING

Please listen to me when I tell you not to buy this product. Calligan gave me one with a machine I rented and it started failing. It made a piercing, piercing sound that, despite being 100% dry, WOULD NOT STOP. Of course I could insert a stylus to press the reset button, but the sound only stopped while the stylus pressed the button. There is absolutely no way to turn off the alarm, no batteries, no way to disassemble. I even tried hitting it with a hammer. Eventually I gave up and wrapped it…
