This special wrench is just a piece of plastic so expensive for the price. It's very good at what it does and makes removing the filter a lot easier.

I used this to remove the reverse osmosis housing and it immediately buckled and cracked. I'm sure the case was tightened a bit, but for that I need the key - to remove it. I will look for a stronger version next time.

The WP-4V's case is a bit oddly sized and seems like the only key that fits. inner and outer key ring. I assume this will fail as the plastic is quite flimsy. I recommend SuperLube food grade silicone oil for o-rings and rubber.

I have ordered a new reverse osmosis housing with a knurled end cap. It fit perfectly and worked really well to tighten it up. However, I have a 20 year old reed case with a smooth end cap and it won't work for that. The other end fitted and worked perfectly for my sediment and charcoal filter housings. Just obviously rotate in the same plane as you so you don't kinda break it in half. True, this is not the most durable plastic, so you need to be careful. My 20 year old case-only key is also…
