I was a bit concerned that the flow rate would be too low with 5 micron filters but they are ok. I can have cleaner water and still have a good flow.

I have purchased these filters many times in the past with no problems. They were recently changed and are too long for my filter housing. I couldn't figure out the problem until I put one of these new ones next to the old one. They are also slimmer than they used to be. I couldn't return them because it was a few days after my return so I'm stuck with them now.

I'm new to well water and filtration so I started buying filters at hardware and big stores. When the filter installer came to service the system, he gave me some filters with a lot more piping. I searched for them on the internet. It's like the ones he gave me. They are significantly better than store-bought ones, both in terms of clarity and durability.

Like the other reviewer I was concerned about 5 microns but the water flow throughout the home is at the ideal pressure. We have well water and they seem to remove all sediment well. I've just bought another brand of similar makeup (OmniFilter) with coiled thread and 5 microns and they aren't as thick as these so when it comes time to get another set I'll be buying them again.

They only get 4 stars because. CHINA. But Revain doesn't sell any American made filters that I can find. I'd be more upset if we drank that water, but that water goes through a true reverse osmosis filter because we have other nasty things that the mud filter doesn't remove.
