Disappointing PoE Hat for SBCs

Based on my observations, this PoE Hat is a letdown. While the power delivery feature is nice, the build quality is lacking and the connection proved unreliable. Using affordable Computers for DIY projects is great, but this accessory doesn't deliver on its promises. Save your money and look for a more dependable option.

Pros
  • Power delivery feature
Cons
  • Poor build quality and unreliable connection

Works on Pi4 in Computer Components

Works great on Pi4 configured as NAS. In any case, for a cased Pi4 you need active cooling, so it's nice to get rid of excess cable. No voltage errors and excellent temperatures.

Pros
  • Easy Setup
Cons
  • Appearance

Works but too loud to stand on a desk

As advertised on the packaging. Run a few of them with a Raspberry Pi 4. The fan is awfully loud to sit next to, but outside the door I can just forget about it.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Only available in black
