I am using this to output from a tablet to a 3MP Barco monitor with a DVI connector. I have a newer 2019 Revain Fire HD 10 model. It looks like it is capturing the image from the screen and sending it to the monitor in real time. I don't notice any delays between sound and picture. I was quite shocked that I didn't have to download/install the driver (Windows 10, MacOS 10.13 High Sierra and 10.14 Mojave), it literally worked after a while.
