The handle was easy to assemble with the old screws (not included). It only took two minutes. It appears to be the same shape as the one that broke. The only downside is that while it's black, it has a matte finish and isn't as glossy as the one it replaced.

Existing handle pulls out from underside of door. The new grip seemed to have the same screw on the plastic construction that looked like it was about to break again. I was able to fix the existing one by drilling a hole in the handle and using a longer washer and nut bolt to secure the old handle. No new pen is required.

. Be sure to include the model no. check for your microwave! Also, scroll down the product page and make sure your specific model is listed there! I did the 1st but not the 2nd. Guess what? That does not fit. the screw holes are equally spaced but staggered. Finally, keep/replace your old screws (they are not included). Otherwise the handle looks nice and is easy to assemble/replace.

We replaced our pen a few years ago for about $30. This time we found it for $7! I was a bit hesitant as it was a lot cheaper than the last one we bought (and others still sell for around $30). We bought two and my husband put them on in minutes. Looks like the old one and works perfectly. It's worth it!

I read the reviews so I was a bit slow with the purchase. Even more alarmed when it essentially arrived in 2 parts. It took a bit of work, but I pulled myself together and thanks to a wonderful woman on YouTube, I was able to install it with relative ease. Not sure how it will hold up but for the price you can't expect much and it's better than replacing a very old but still working microwave.
