Good performance and capacity. I run it as my main boot drive with Linux Mint 18 and the Grub boot selector. Windows XP is also running on a separate drive. I need both Linux and XP on this machine. I have Win 7 on another box. Still not impressed with win10.

These discs are too old and even if the new ones are out of warranty. I had to send mine back. without risking a drive failure after 1 year.

Good HD. This is a WD BLUE 1TB 3.5" that comes sealed in manufacturer's packaging. With $39.99 shipping you can't go wrong. Works well for switching from discs to DVR.

This drive (actually 2 of them) was purchased to replace two (2) 160GB drives in an old Dell system. They arrived at the stated time, installed without any problems and started without any problems. They work almost 24/7 and still have no problems. The only downside, if you can call it that, is that they are quite noisy. this is only noticeable if you have installed "quiet" drives.
