GE Dishwasher WD28X10209 Silverware Basket Assembly: Organize Utensils with Ease! Review

We bought a house with a GE dishwasher (not my first choice). In recent years, "holes" have formed in the bottom of the cutlery basket. I was happy to have found a replacement. I'm not sure how long this will last, but I'm grateful to have found a replacement cutlery basket that fits in the dishwasher.

We like to put chopsticks in the basket, as do some narrow-handled spoons with the handle down, but the holes in them are too big and these items won't fit. Our old one had a finer mesh at the bottom. However, it is beautiful and plentiful and we can get 4 days' worth of silverware to reach the rest of DW's capacity.

I bought this to replace the cutlery drawer for my GE model GDT695SMJ2ES dishwasher. It fits perfectly. I removed the middle compartment cover but it was included. The only significant difference between this and my original is that it's one solid piece rather than 3 connecting, the slotted lids are slanted rather than flat (no big deal) and the bottom has a tighter mesh. on June 15, 2017. It doesn't even match the listing photo! As you can see from the photos I've attached, it's shorter and not as wide as the original. I gleaned from the description, photo and the fact that when I put my model number in the 'Make sure it fits' box I was told it would fit that I was getting an identical replacement. Now that I see other recent reviews encountering the same issue, I'm adding my vote in the hope that others can avoid this issue.

Attention! The item I received is different from what was advertised on the site. I was expecting a three piece basket with removable side baskets. The basket I received consists of three parts, but none of them are removable. It fits in my GE Monogram dishwasher and my old basket broke so I decided to keep it.
