later I bought these cute flashlights to keep by my back door. I use them to potty train my dog, to go outside at night before bed and in the morning after getting up. In other words, pretty gentle usage. The plastic on/off button of the first one broke after a few days and the second one was in process when I stopped using it. They are very light and light. They are a good size too. I've since bought a Mag-Light flashlight. I've never had a break like this - ever.

When I received the box of six LED mini flashlights, I tested them all using the same new AAA batteries, making sure to insert the batteries as instructed. All those little lanterns seem to die early in my house. The contact points in plastic AAA battery cases get rusty and this thing stops working unless I smack it or something until it blinks, and sometimes even then. Each of the six 3 5/8 inch long and 1 inch in diameter (85 x 25mm) I got the job done and put out a nice beam of light. Works great indoors and for short distances outdoors. A beam of light illuminates objects up to 10-12 yards (10 m) away outdoors on a quarter moon night. Also, it's not that good, only objects with something reflective are clearly visible at 20 meters.
