I don't think the one I have is fully heated. I've seen other people get great results, but after an hour and a half and a whole roll of foil, I still didn't have the results I was hoping for. Rough and not at all smooth line. I came almost without instructions, so at first I thought it was just me, but after consulting the one who has it, I'm doing everything right. Damn.

I used this for my wedding invitations with my Cricut Air 2. You use the scribe or character setting to hide the text or shape outlines. Be sure to buy the right film! (Decofoil doesn't work) However if you have Cricut I don't think there is a way to create FILLED text. I've seen videos where the Silhouette Cameo can create filled slides. So if you are trying to foil large items I would stick with the minc method.
