It is not waterproof. My loved one with dementia peed on the bed and it got soaked. Very frustrating as this protector is so expensive. I will come back tomorrow.

Has a nice thick layer of plastic that doesn't crease as easily as most others I've had before. Also, it's quite thick and seems more durable to be machine washable.

It's more breathable than other protectors I've had and looks well made. Unfortunately it is quite noisy when you move over it. Even under the thick sheets you can hear it rubbing against a sheet of plastic when you lie down or get up.

Bought for my toddler's double mattress. Four days after I covered the mattress, my child had an overnight accident and the mattress underneath got wet. This is literally the only reason I bought this protector and it was useless.

it was just what i needed! My old mattress topper fell apart so I was in desperate need of a new one! It works great and fits perfectly! For the price this is a great product! It was easy to put on and really great quality. When I took it out of the box it seemed a little noisy but when I put it on the bed it was great, I can't hear it at all when I move!

Most waterproof mattress pads don't make noise from flexing, but because the slippery plastic underneath the layer slides onto the mattress below. This pad's three-layer construction creates enough friction to keep it in place, making it much quieter. It's not perfect when you turn around, but it's way better than others I've tried. I haven't tested it for waterproofing yet, but it was important to me that it advertises protection on all five sides and has good stitching.
